Corrections Corporation of America (CCA), of Nashville, TN, has been awarded a multi-year contract valued at $122 million to provide a secured bed detention facility to house 350 male detainees in the custody of the U.S Department of Justice, U.S. Marshals Services (USMS) and the Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) unit. Most of the occupants are expected to be USMS detainees charged with federal offenses, with a lesser number of ICE detainees awaiting a hearing on their immigration status or deportation.
