Texas Sen. John Cornyn accuses Democrats of playing politics with immigration policy by forcing vote on DREAM Act

WASHINGTON – Texas Sen. John Cornyn today accused Democrats of playing politics with immigration policy by forcing a vote on a bill that offers legal status to 2.1 million young illegal immigrants through education, military service or fines.

Cornyn has supported the so-called DREAM Act in the past, but Thursday criticized Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s plan to put it to a Senate vote after Thanksgiving – an effort designed in part to put Republicans in a political squeeze.

“It demonstrates, if Sen. Reid chooses to do this, his tin ear when it comes to what the America people are saying concerns them the most about our broken immigration system, and that is the lack of border security,â€

Their chances on this one are slim and none. There isn't time first of all and the Republicans will stall it every way they can. This is nothing but Dingy Harry trying to pay off all the illegals who voted in NV to help him. Is it wrong to wish for someone to have a stroke?

I'm still wondering why these people are not up in arms over illegal immigrants voting. Voting wont mean anything if we have illegal foreigners influencing American politics.

All the while they're playing games with the Dream Act, Congress has not passed a budget - even an interim budget - has not address the Bush tax cuts, has not addressed unemployment benefits. In other words, they have completely placed the wants of non-citizens ahead of the needs of American citizens.

Americans do not support the Dream Act. And the politicians must listen to us. Stop the Dream Act. Obama, Reid, Pelosi must be removed from office because they are not doing what Americans want.

Republicans should by now recognize that illegal aliens will vote for Democrats, or finger in the wind Republicans. Hopefully, some Democrats will stand with most Republicans to put a stop to the Dream Act.

I wonder if this crooked corrupt horse's ass is bringing this up at this juncture, knowing full well it may not pass so he then can blame the GOP, telling thousands of his illegal alien constituents and illegal voters he brought it up for a vote as promised but it didn't pass, so therefore the GOP must be racists, hoping illegal aliens will remember this in 2012.....
