I think it is time to ask ourselves what the priorities of the Vacaville Police Department are? Every day, the police are driving around the city of Vacaville making sure young people are not loitering or engaging in such things as illegal drug transactions or graffiti. While these activities should be monitored for security reasons, there are events that are going on in this town that are not being monitored for politically correct reasons.

For the last few years, the news headlines have been filled with stories about cities all across America clamping down on illegal alien workers. Why hasn't the city of Vacaville cracked down here? All over the street corners of Monte Vista Avenue, Callen Street and Brown Street, illegal laborers sit and wait for potential employers to pick them up and pay them under the table, without the taxation and labor rules that we citizens of United States are subject to.

It is time for the city managers and Police Department to set aside political correctness and start enforcing the laws of this great nation. As government employees, they don't get to pick and choose which laws they enforce and which ones they do not.
