One of Canada's 'Most Wanted' deported

TORONTO - A violent criminal who was convicted of stubbing out a cigarette on the cheek of a 14-month-old girl has been deported to Jamaica under the escort of Canadian officers.

Orrett O’Neil Brock, 31, a convicted wife-beater, was one of the country’s ‘Most Wanted’ criminals whose mugshot was among dozens posted on a Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) website that also featured suspected war criminals.

The online manhunt led to the arrests of eight accused war criminals and six foreign thugs who were hiding in Canada. Seven have since been deported.

Brock was arrested last September following a Toronto Police probe. He has convictions for trafficking in a controlled substance and assault causing bodily harm.

He was escorted by two CBSA officers to Kingston, Jca., where he was turned over to police, officials said.

Public Safety Minister Vic Toews praised the removal saying Canadians are safer today. “Canada’s doors are not open to those who have broken the law and endangered our citizens,” Toews said on Thursday.

“This convicted criminal will no longer pose a threat to the safety of Canadians and our communities.”
Brock was the subject of a 2004 police search for burning his ex-girlfriend’s daughter with a cigarette.
Police said Brock put out his cigarette on the child’s face after getting into a argument with her mom.

“The accused was smoking a cigarette and reached over and butted it in the left cheek of the infant victim,” according to police reports obtained by the Toronto Sun. “Officers observed a circular wound on the left cheek of the infant.”

Brock was sentenced to jail time for the cigarette incident and it led to his deportation from Canada, officers said.

Police said Brock regularly assaulted his girlfriend, who was three months pregnant, that she ended up losing the baby.

“He would punch her with a closed fist in the face, head or body,” Toronto cops said. “The victim was pregnant with the accused’s child during this time.”

Detectives said Brock once pushed the victim to the floor and kicked her to the ribs and left side.

“She sustained bruising to the area,” the report said. “On another occasion she suffered a black eye.”

Border officials said photos of other war crime suspects and foreign criminals can be seen at www.cbsa.gc.ca and a Border Watch line to call in tips can be reached at 1-888-502-9060.

Police are warning the public not to take action to apprehend the suspects since they can be armed.
