    Our electric rate caps expired May 1st....and our rates went up nearly 70% (as Geekgirl can attest). All the electric supply companies that our local politicians claimed would be competing against the long time monopoly, Delmarva Power, never materialized. Surprise, surprise.

    My June/July/August bills were nearly double what they were last year, during the same months, despite the fact that we sweated out all but the hottest of days without AC this summer. July bill last year = $156. July bill this year = $311.00.

    Just another example of how working lower to middle class Americans are being squeezed out of existance.
