We need a weekly massive e-mailing to the major news media
It looks like KAtie Courec may actually cover illegal immigration on CBS Monday. We are now 1 year out of thousands of potential emails telling them to report MORE on illegal immigration. It is time for a mandatory email list for one major story a week. we need hundreds of people to email the major news networks, PBS, NBC, CBS, ABC, BBC ALL of them, to report FAIR on illegal immigraion articles we READ DAILY - PREACHING TO THE CHOIR.
This has to be done TOP DOWN from SOS, ALipac, MINUTEMAN ETC ect because thousands of people will not listen to badmonkey. This needs to be done NOW!!!!
from now on there is no more WHINING about the bias coverage. Its OUR FAULT now. We need hundereds of emails going out EVERY WEEK on one outrageous topical issue.

Hi Bad Monkey,
Just a few suggestions, if I may.....
Whatever goes out, ensure it will not be construed as spamming.
Probably a news release format is best.
Might not hurt to get advice from friendly news services (ie. World Net Daily) on how to do it properly and best.
Maybe ask a moderator to proof read it.

The news media has NOT BEEN MASSIVE EMAILED/PHONE CALLED YET! We have dropped the ball bigtime. Now we ned to do this or face the consequences. This is EASY to do!!We need to FLOOD THE MEDIA on stories we think they should cover!! But its VERY HARD to get ANYONE TO COMMITT TO THIS. We need an email list or I can jsut past it on this and other sites, but that wont get hundereds of people. we need 2 HUNDRED PEOPLE TO DO THIS!! What will it take to get 200 people signed up>? 10 people who do it for a month, then bitch and moan to the rest of YOU to do this.
Who are the 10 vollenteers? Ive got 2 from SOS, so really just 7 more dedicated people to start this snowball!!
Here are the basic news outlets: We need an alert system to call and email them. You can email them all at the same time using the BCC in the email window. Theywill not see who else you sent the items to.
OK this site has lots of media, you put it in the BCC section on your EMAIL and you can send the same stuff to 30 differentoutlets.
mulitply this by 200+ people 1 time a week minimum, for 56 weeks and thats ALOT of emails that THEY ARENT GETTING NOW!!!
iLL get all this ready for a cut and past in your BCC and do a test run on it. We have wasted a year and possibly influencing this critical election cycle. This has to be easy to do for people we need a sticky for weekly updates.

10-31-2006, 10:01 AM #6The news media has NOT BEEN MASSIVE EMAILED/PHONE CALLED YET!
You are incorrect on this statement. ALIPAC and other national organizations on our side do press releases to the national media on a regular basis.
Our activists have helped us to create a national press list of over 9,000 contacts.
This work has been done, this work is being done.
Please do not confuse a low coverage response by the traditional media as an incorrect assumption of lax behavior on our part.

Badmonkey,
What are you talking about? Do you know how many emails I send out? I have sent over thousands of emails for ALIPAC alone to media contacts around the country. I get a lot of requests from the MEDIA to be taken off our list. They have called our Legitimate Press Releases SPAM!I stay current on Americans for Legal Immigration PAC's fight to Secure Our Border and Send Illegals Home via E-mail Alerts (CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP)

If they notify your stories as spam, then they need to be BOYCOTTED! Advertisers need to get emails from ALL OF US. Which means your rights to post for 2 weeks will be suspended untill you email a list of businesses that support that news station, and they need to be placed on a national BOYCOTT list with miller, nestle etc.... we have thousands of people, we need strict unity on a boycott to work.
also- one person emailing is not going to do it. everyone needs to do this, as you can email several news stations at once through the bcc. EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE AN ACTIVIST, NO EXCUSeS. we need to see what happens with 200 people doing this once a week. PERIOD NO EXCUSES.!!

If you're receptive, here's a Suggestion:
go to our ACTIVISM/FOCUS CAMPAIGN FORUM and dig in!
These towns need ALL our help in moving their ordinances forward.
This is where it counts......not abc, nbc and the msm en toto. Why waste valuable energy and time in doing something that is already being done?

I agree 2nd, we can use all the help we can get working on our focus campaigns we cannot have activists getting sidetracked on other things right now when we need them most. We must work together as a group to have the most impact, not just single people deciding to go on email campaigns on behalf of ALIPAC. Bad, please get on the same page with the rest of the group and focus on the ALIPAC objectives and not your own
