Amid an ongoing surge of illegal immigration from Central America, the Obama administration is releasing migrants — detained illegally entering the United States — into Laredo, according to Texas Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar.

“The Department of Homeland Security is releasing immigrants, mostly from Central America, in the Laredo area where they are free to go with relatives or sponsor organizations while they are given a Notice to Appear for an asylum hearing before an immigration judge on a certain date,” Cuellar explained in a statement.

“These immigrants were previously processed to be deported before being reprocessed with a Notice to Appear and therefore released on their own recognizance,” he added.

Cuellar is expressing concern not just about the recent releases but also the anticipated, ongoing crush of migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border.

“I continue to stress the need to be more proactive and work with our neighbors in both Mexico and Central America to curb these huge waves of illegal immigration to the United States,” the Texas Democrat added.

The number of migrants detained illegally entering the U.S. via the southern border has been on the rise in recent months with 46,191 detained in October, and 47,214 detained in November alone — levels not seen since the headline-grabbing humanitarian crisis of 2014.

According to Cuellar, border communities are feeling the brunt of the onslaught.

“Our taxpayer dollars, and more importantly, our border communities, are bearing the burden of providing emergency shelter and food for many of these immigrants who have been coming to the border and pleading asylum in record numbers,” Cuellar added.

The Texan further warned that another 40,000 migrants from Haiti, Africa, Asia and the Middle East are also expected to be heading from Haiti to the U.S.-Mexico border.

“I recently spoke with Roman Macaya, Costa Rican Ambassador to the United States, regarding information that about 40,000 migrants from Haiti, as well as Africa, Asia and the Middle East, will be on their way to the United States southern border via Central America and Mexico,” Cuellar said.

Obama Releases 220 Illegal Alien Kids PER DAY As Border Crisis Escalates

During the month of November alone, the Obama administration sent enough border-crossing illegal alien children to live in American communities to fill up 12 Washington, D.C. middle schools.

In fact, strung out over the entire 30-day period, the Obama administration processed and turned loose an astonishing 6,623 illegal alien kids who’d recently crossed the U.S.-Mexico border unlawfully, averaging more than 220 kids per day. The administration released about 600 more kids in November than they did during the month of October, when 6,051 children were sent to live with sponsors in the U.S. pending their day in immigration court. FY2016 data reveals the vast majority of these children are teens claiming to be between 15 and 17 years of age.

The incoming flood of illegal aliens, including unaccompanied minors, ramped up during the final few months of FY2016 and into the first days of the new fiscal year, and has yet to slow down. While border agents have apprehended another 14,128 unaccompanied kids at the Mexican border between October and November, the administration’s Office of Refugee Resettlement turned loose 12,674 UACs in that same time frame.

With 10 months still to go until the end of the fiscal year, the administration has already released roughly 25 percent of the total number of unaccompanied kids set free to live in the United States last year, when a total of 52,147 children were sent to live with sponsors. If this pace continues, the number of kids caught and released into the U.S. will easily outpace any recent year including FY2014, when a new wave of juvenile border crossings caught the nation’s attention and overwhelmed border resources.

Data from the federal immigration court system shows that more than a third of these children won’t show up for their court date, including about 90 percent of those children who are ordered removed from the country. Additionally, recently released information from the Department of Health and Human Services shows the administration only conducts home studies for about six percent of the illegal alien children released, failing to follow up on the vast majority who are left to disappear into communities across the country.

This is just totally disgusting and unforgivable acts by our government and court system. The officials involved in this insanity are nothing short of traitors to the citizens of our nation. They're all, every single one of them, on the take with the drug cartels behind illegal immigration because there is absolutely no other explanation for this level of stupidity.

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - It's been a week since the undocumented immigrants were released in Laredo but Immigration and Customs Enforcement is commenting on situation.

ICE sent us a statement that acknowledges what happened last Thursday.

The statement says,

"On December 29th, officers with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Laredo, Texas, released 39 females from central america on their own recognizance after they were briefly detained and issued notices to appear before a federal immigration judge.
During the recent increase of individuals illegally entering the United States in south Texas, individuals who have final destinations within the U.S. are identified and transported to bus terminals and airports."

Congressman Cuellar has been urging ICE to warn communities who will be seeing these groups released in order to provide them with help. But the warning did not come to city leaders, something Cuellar is working to resolve. He says, "No, that's a problem. It's common sense. They should notify local communities before they do this. Quite honestly, it's something that they should have been doing. But, I will make sure that they will now do in the future when I put this language on the appropriation bill where it will mandate them to do it."

Local service group, Catholic Social Services, have been offering their assistance in the form of care packages. They say they are working to prepare for any more who may be coming. However, because the number of people coming is unpredictable, local service centers do not know how much resources are necessary to prepare.

The statement left out the rest of the immigrants who were released after that first group last Thursday. We had seen another group arrive carrying around about 20 women and the station employees told us they had seen about four more groups after the first. ICE did not provide information on these groups.
