I think the death of Detective Young, God Rest His Soul, will have a galvanizing effect on the city of Denver and the Peoples Republic of Colorado. I think their "Rocky Mountain High" is about to wear off. Any sensible illegal would run, not walk, back home. Silly me: Thinking, even for a moment, that there is such a thing as SENSIBLE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT!!!

GOOD article. I still say that Hickenlooper and Driscoll are guilty of aid and abet in a homicide.

Could some one from the Denver area most any links on the case. Would like to know if this murder was by ambush or was there some type of controntation prier to the cold blooded murder.

I think the shooter hid and then shot them from behind as they walked by, I dont think either officer had a chance to radio for backup or shoot back.

MONDAY UPDATE FROM THE ASSOCIATED PRESS AND 9NEWS: A manhunt is under way today for a single suspect accused of gunning down a decorated police detective and wounding another officer in what the mayor called a "cold-blooded murder" outside a private party early Sunday.

Detectives Donald R. "Donnie" Young and John Bishop were providing security for a baptism celebration at the Salon Ocampo hall, police said. Young was shot three times and fatally wounded. Bishop, who was also shot, was treated at Denver Health Medical Centerand has been released.

There is an explanation for this behavior. We are being flooded with people from a Third World country where life is much cheaper, and violent responses to irritants more acceptable.

It is the culture of this Third World country (including the fact that its culture does not teach people how to generate wealth) that makes it such a hell hole that its people are leaving in droves. But they are coming here in such large numbers that they don't have to assimilate, and they are bringing that culture with them and perpetuating it here.

To make matters worse, the people we are getting are, overwhelmingly, from the underclass of a Third World country. The dregs of a Third World hell hole.

Police anywhere should be going after people who break laws. They should be prosecuted for breaking those laws and should be punished as dictated by laws. Somebody in the country illegally (NOTE that the word is "ILLEGALLY" and not "LEGALLY") should be prosecuted and punished according to what is prescribed by law.

Secure our borders. That is the biggest priority of the federal government to protect its citizens.

That same policy states "when a suspect believed to be an undocumented immigrant is arrested for other charges a 'refer to immigration' charge will be added to the original charge. Sheriff's Department personnel will then notify (immigration) authorities according to their procedures."
So where's the sanctuary?

The "sanctuary" is that you want to wait until after an arrest for some other illegal activity takes place before you will take any action regarding the other laws they are breaking.

Police are sworn to protect us, not go after the illegal immigrant who cleans your office building breaks just a few little itty-bitty unimportant laws.

They want to frighten us into thinking that the illegals are taking our jobs, destroying our way of life, turning Denver into a Little Tijuana.

The reality is the kinds of jobs we want are going overseas by the tens of thousands.

So the jobs that are here should go to illegal aliens instead of our own citizens first?
