Despite US Job Losses, Feds Import More Foreign Workers!

533,000 Jobs Lost in NOV -- But the Feds Imported Another 140,000 Foreign Workers the Same Month!

By Roy Beck, Friday, December 5, 2008, 10:17 AM

With the federal government reporting another giant loss of jobs for November, isn't it time to stop the massive importation of foreign workers?

Non-farm employers in the U.S. eliminated 533,000 jobs in November. At the same time, in a typical month the feds give out approximately 140,000 new work permits and green cards to foreign workers.

How can this make any sense for the American people's own government to be recruiting more competitors for a dwindling number of jobs? Month after month as hundreds of thousands of Americans lose their jobs, the feds keep pumping another 140,000 new foreign workers into the laborforce.

The new foreign workers compete with the laid-off and underemployed highly skilled Americans in most professions and occupations, but most foreign workers compete directly in the construction, service and manufacturing industries where unemployment is the highest and where Americans have the least margin of financial security.

The feds add workers in two major ways.

The most recent government data show that the feds granted greencards to 744,531 new working-age permanent immigrants (age 20-64) in 2007. Every one of them can immediately apply for a job (as can many more immigrants who are below and above that age range).
The Department of Homeland Security reports that in the fiscal year just ended it issued NEW work permits to another 912,735 foreign workers who are not permanent immigrants.
That adds up to an astounding rate of 1,657,266 foreign workers per year, and that doesn't count renewals on foreign work permits or the flow of illegal workers.

While the new Congress and President determine how to best spend a trillion dollars to stimulate more jobs, they should immediately in January suspend most foreign-worker importation. Limiting immigration mostly to nuclear families and our fair share of internationally recognized special needs refugees seems like the logical response to job-loss reports like the one today (Dec. 5).

Does this really surprise anyone? It's not like we have a representational limited government using only authority granted to them by the US Constitution.

This has got to stop! Its unbelievable that our government doesnt put a complete halt to work permits and green cards. A moritorium should be placed on any type of immigration for a period of at least 10 years. Our country cant keep taking in millions of people a year.

Mr Obama talks about taking care of unemployed Americans but will in fact allow the above to continue. And he promises to import millions more H1B, H2A H2B and L1 visas using the recapture provision retroactive to 1991. He also wants to grant amnesty to 20 million illegal aliens who will bring their immediate and extended family members, friends and neighbors along for the ride as DHS is so corrupt, incompetent and inept they are unable to tell who already illegally is in the country. All these "instant residents" will compete with tens of millions of unemployed Americans for what few available jobs there are plus any that may arise from the proposed stimulus. Employers will shed these newly legalized workers because they will fall under EEOC guidelines and have collective bargaining rights thus continuing to hire cheap labor illegally flooding across the border at the rate of 5,000 to 10,000 weekly since we know Mr Obama has absolutely no intention of securing our borders. Those newly legalized displaced workers will be placed on our welfare and unemployment rolls when state unemployment trust funds are running out of money because of the increasing number of unemployed Americans requiring assistance.
Is this why he and congress are proposing all these bailouts and stimuli? They know illegal aliens will get those jobs along with welfare, education, food stamps, health care, housing assistance and other benefits which many already receive since Mr Obama plans to halt all raids and other enforcement actions which help protect American's identities and ensure jobs go only to citizens and legal residents. Once the word gets out about 2.5 million new stimulus jobs there will be a stampede of untold proportions for the border which will bankrupt the economy and decimate what few remaining already LIMITED resources we have.
State and local government's are forced to spend a total of 400 billion dollars annually on illegal alien health care, welfare, food stamps, education, unemployment insurance and other benefits while those same governments beg for bailouts from the federal government.
How does Mr Obama plan to revive the economy when illegal and legal immigration will continue at current levels taxing our already overburdened health care and other parts of our infrastructure, and jobs continue to be taken by illegal aliens and Hxx visa holders?
We are informing the American people that while Mr Obama expresses his concerns about struggling and unemployed Americans he, behind closed doors is working with open borders activists as Gutierrez, Pelosi, Menendez and other politicians who only represent illegal aliens to make life more comfortable for those who violated our laws, borders, sovereignty and use stolen identities to illegally obtain jobs and benefits by ensuring their interests will be considered before Americans for any jobs, benefits and services.
Enforce the laws contained in the 1986 IRCA and it's 5 revisions (no jobs, welfare, food stamps, other benefits and prosecute employers) which is working in states as Arizona and Oklahoma which has seen drops in unemployment of 2 and 3 percent along with drops in crime and reduced crowding in schools and hospitals also occurring in other locations throughout the country as 1.5 million illegal aliens have voluntarily self deported since last year.
We were promised change but all we see is the continuation of the same open borders agenda for cheap illegal labor for this government's corporate masters and votes to maintain politician's seats at the table of power.
Our economy will never recover leaving many Americans unable to realize the American dream as long as we continue to be the rest of the world's health care, welfare and employment agency. Our health care, land, food, water, energy and other LIMITED resources cannot sustain the never ending flood of humanity into this country. It is a simple matter of math and economics. Is this the change Mr Obama has envisioned for this country?
There is no freedom without the law. Remember our veterans whose sacrifices allow us to live in freedom.
