Detention officials accused in immigrant smuggling scheme

SARITA — U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested two Willacy immigration detention center employees accused of trying to smuggle 28 undocumented immigrants across the Border Patrol checkpoint here, federal officials said Friday.
The two arrested are employees of the Utah-based Management Training Corp., which has a contract with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to run the detention center in Raymondville, said Nina Pruneda, the agency’s spokeswoman in San Antonio.
The two were arrested before midnight Thursday, Pruneda said.
She would not identify them, nor would she say if they are men or women, nor if the undocumented immigrants were being held at the detention center.

Now they need to freeze their bank accounts to check and see how long this has been going on! People like this need a long long jail sentence.
