Deval Patrick trying to give tuition breaks to IAs
Deval Patrick trying to give tuition breaks to illegal aliens; help discredit him
Massachusetts governor (and Barack Obama quote source) Deval Patrick is back to supporting giving the in-state college tuition rate to illegal aliens (lhttp://www.dailynewstranscript.com/new ... immigrants ). He considered trying to sneak it through: http://lonewacko.com/blog/archives/007381.html without getting their legislature involved in January. This time around it's part of a larger proposal, the "Readiness Project", and he says:
"It makes good sense for us economically, and for me it's just a matter of simple justice... We don't say to these kids they can't go to state colleges and universities; they can go. What we say to them is that they have to pay a different rate from the kid who sat across the aisle from them all through middle school and high school."

It is asinine and moronic that illegal aliens are allowed into colleges at all. I would argue that it is in violation of the 'aiding and abetting' statute in the 1986 IRCA.
Even if illegal aliens were to pay out of state tuition, it would not cover the entire cost of their education because of capitol costs, often conveniently left out (or purposely lessened) in the total costs calculations. Therefore, taxpayer subsidization of illegal aliens would occur. Also, why would any legislator allow an illegal alien to take a seat in college from a deserving American citizen or legal immigrant?
Seats in colleges are a limited and highly coveted resource, why the hell would you put an illegal alien into one?
Also, why should we be in the business of educating and training a group of people who are illegally here and cannot legally be employed?Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
