    DHS strips Arizona sheriff of authority to patrol for illega

    Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio says he will continue his controversial "crime suppression operations" despite a Department of Homeland Security decision to strip him of authority to arrest suspected illegal immigrants based solely on their immigration status, the East Valley Tribune reports.

    "Racial profiling" is a phony accusation trumped up by those who want to protect criminals. Probably only about ten percent of our overall criminal activity ever is detected in this country, anyway. Profiling is one of the tools authorities have to restrict crime.

    Well the author of the 287g program is not very happy with HLS....check out the news release for today, I think Rep. Lamar Smith is a little ticked off!
