CHARLIE ROSE: Go back now to the tea party, and you have pointed out
that it is a very big tent. What part of that tent are you uncomfortable
with?

DICK ARMEY: When you have a big tent and you open the tent and you
leave it -- you leave it the largest most tolerant tent, because we are
more tolerant to views, to political parties, you get people like, for
example, the LaRouchers.

CHARLIE ROSE: Lyndon LaRouche.

DICK ARMEY: They are an embarrassment and they should be an
embarrassment to themselves.

CHARLIE ROSE: Is their butt in this, or do you want to kick them out
of the tea party?

DICK ARMEY: No, no, no, they’re there. But I think they should be
out of the scene --

CHARLIE ROSE: What about the John Birch Society?

DICK ARMEY: The John Birch Society has been very little evident in my
association with the tea party. I have not seen anybody, have not
encountered anybody who says I’m here and I’m from the John Birch Society.
So I mean, I know it’s alleged that they’re there. I’ve not encountered
them.

But I do think that John Birch Society historically has had a good
deal of people that have regretted them. I tell you, I was for example not
really happy to see Tom Tancredo calling himself a tea party guy.

CHARLIE ROSE: Because?

DICK ARMEY: His harsh and uncharitable and mean-spirited attitude on
the immigration issue.

CHARLIE ROSE: But what do you say to that? Do you speak out against
that?

DICK ARMEY: Absolutely have, and I’ve taken a lot of heat for it too.

But first of all, we’re a nation of immigrants and a wonderful
tradition. People have marched with their feet to America looking for
freedom. Our biggest problem in immigration is we have a dysfunctional
INS. If the government would do its job with some degree of efficiency --

CHARLIE ROSE: So the enforcement idea is what you would like to see
more?

DICK ARMEY: I mean look you drive by any INS office in America, and
the one I see is mostly in Dallas, Texas. At 5:00 in the morning you see a
line of four blocks long of people who want to be here and be here legally
that are having the window slammed in their face and callous indifference
by an inept agency.

Who the hell made this guy the boss of the tea parties? Beck started them with the 9/12 project! The tea parties are not all about Dick Armys ideal's, if he doesn't like it he should get out!

It is not a membership club with rules and by laws.

Tancredo has just as much right to bring his beliefs and Dick Armny...maybe C. Rose should interview Tancredo!

We are all alone here folks on the immigration issue. The Tea Party has ignored this huge issue which has a massive impact on federal, state and local budgets. I have included immigration in all surveys by the GA tea party and they still ignore it.

Although the tea party is loose and local, and different in different areas, the contract they agreed to does not include no amnesty.

Our country's problems are much bigger than government health care. We need jobs, fair trade, tax reform and integrity in our representatives who actually listen to their constituents. We need to end the lobbyist access and funding. And we need to secure our borders, enact harsh penalties against employers and deport, deport, deport.

Armey is just another Elitist Politician with his own agenda. The invasion by the ILLEGALS is not a partisan issue! The problem for at least the last 20 years is too many Elitist Politicians from both major Political Parties, have been willing to turn the United States into a welfare state to insure most of our citizens obtain Third World status by importing ILLEGALS for cheap labor to take United States Citizen’s jobs for their Political Contributors and Special Interest Groups or outsourcing United States Citizen’s jobs to Third World Countries. Too many U.S. Citizens are wrapped up into winning one for their political party and our nation’s survival becomes secondary to PARTY Loyalty!

Dick Armey is a politician, not a leader. Republican, Democrat - two faces of the same two headed snake.

Comments on the source article calls anyone who disagrees with the ILLEGALS hateful or racist. "Predictable For a LACK of defensible arguments the Pro-ILLEGAL Elitists, Elitist Politicians, Elitist Political Contributors, ILLEGAL EMPLOYERS, and other Special Interest Groups benefiting from the ILLEGALS always fall back on attacking anyone who disagrees attempting to label them as racists or as in this case hateful is their word of the day."

WOW some of the comments are great! here was one I really liked and so true!

America’s problems stem from a lack of knowledge. Most still can’t recognize and name the enemy.

Unfortunately, ALL Medias including Fox and Beck have carried the public consciousness in a thousand different directions failing to connect the dots for the majority of people. I venture to say the Tea Partiers know something is wrong, but only know what Fox News, O’Reilly, Glenn, Sean, Laura, Limbaugh, Levin, and a few others feel privy to tell them.

Bless their hearts…the Tea Partiers have their fingers pointed to the left. They had better crook that finger a bit and point at a few who called themselves Republicans. A place to start would be with Rockefeller and Kissinger, and on down the list of thousands of others…and right onto the current crop that is in the news… Dick Armey, Grover Norquist, John McCain, Rick Perry, Lindsay Graham…just to name a few. Unfortunately, Fox News is much like MSNBC. That is; it is filled with HUGE, IMPORTANT OMMISSIONS. I also venture to say that the Tea Partiers would probably prefer the America of George Washington…but have no idea of the kind of America David Rockefeller, (Dick Cheney’s best friend), has in store for them. That America will be in memory only…possessing no borders, no middle class, with no rights to the true history of their own heritage.

America’s culture is being blurred by a huge influx of imports from third world countries. This was accomplished with the socialist backroom legislation of Ted Kennedy in 1965 and opened borders with a disregard for the rule of law for the last three decades. Both parties had 44 years to reverse this mistake, but failed to do so. If you are smart…you would be researching and asking …Why?

Don’t be surprised when the Tea Party snags and clings to the same Republicans such as McCain who is for erasing America’s borders and allowing amnesty and Rick Perry who will be counting his wealth as the eight-lane, renamed NAFTA HIGHWAY spreads across America’s heartlands with Eminent Domain taking more private property than the Black Plague took lives.

The Tea Partiers have a knowledge of what Socialism is doing…but why are they giving Armey, Perry, McCain and Graham and other Republicans a pass on their pro-amnesty stance which will allow 20 million Marxist Mexicans and their unending extended families into America …giving them the right to vote? I repeat once again…the news Medias have not connected the dots to these trade agreements and illegal immigration.

There is a wealth of knowledge in research, books and articles that could fill a library… telling everyone that these trade agreements are not, were not and have never been about free trade…but you still hear the Republicans and their favorite “useful idiotsâ€
