Summit County, CO Colorado

SUMMIT COUNTY - A Dillon Valley woman arrested last month on suspicion of possession and distribution of cocaine remains jailed.

The Summit County Drug Task Force arrested Ana Santos-Santiago, 26, on Nov. 21, four months after the team began investigating her, according to a press release from the task force.

During that time, agents allegedly purchased 2.5 ounces of cocaine from Santos-Santiago.

She was arrested on four counts of distribution of a schedule 2 controlled substance and five counts of possession of more than one gram of a schedule 2 controlled substance.

When she was arrested, police found more than one gram of cocaine in her possession, as well as $1,423 and forged documents, the release said.

Santos-Santiago is being held in the Summit County Jail on an Immigration Customs Enforcement hold due to her illegal status in the country, the release said.

Santos-Santiago was an employee of Wildernest Property Management, according to the release. Wildernest declined to comment on the matter, even to verify Santos-Santiago's employment.

During the investigation, agents found that Santos-Santiago used a different car every week to distribute cocaine. She said that a car dealership in Lakewood would give her a car to use for a week while she was in the process of buying another vehicle.
