Five arrested at Visalia checkpoint

Five people were arrested Friday night at a checkpoint in Visalia in the area of Lovers Lane and Paradise Avenue.

Four people were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. A fifth person was arrested for outstanding warrants, Visalia police said.

Twenty-six people were cited for driving without a license or with a suspended license. Another 17 citations were issued for other offenses, and 20 vehicles were towed and stored.
