Lou Dobbs Rips Apart Race Card Playing By AZ State Rep Steve Gallardo (see video at end of article):

Lou Dobbs had Arizona State Representatives Russell Pearce and Steve Gallardo on Sep 6, 2007 (video below). During discussion about the Arizona law that goes into effect January 1, 2008 that requires all businesses to disclose whether they are employing illegal aliens, Rep Gallardo, the Democratic Majority Whip in Arizona, chose to play the race card and Lou simply let him have it. Rep Russell Pearce is the author of the legislation.

Businesses and the ACLU are fighting the law. The argument made by the ACLU are that the law violates due process. In a statement on the law the ACLU had this to say:

"It becomes easier and safer for Arizona business owners to discriminate against anyone they suspect of being foreign rather than risk the fines and penalties associated with a failure to comply with this law."
- Alessandra Soler Meetze, Executive Director, ACLU of Arizona

Other illegal alien support groups are also filing lawsuits.

Arizona Capitol Times

Chicanos por la Causa and Somos America argue that the legislation infringes upon federal authority and violates constitutional due process protections. The organizations are represented by attorneys from the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund, the National Immigration Law Center and the Arizona chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union.

Critics of the employer sanctions measure passed by the Legislature in June and signed by the governor in July say the legal challenge — the second to be filed since July — aims to protect the rights of workers
.

These anti-American groups posing as "for the worker" need to be ended. They are nothing but anti-law enforcement and pro-illegal alien.

As Rep Russell Pearce puts it at the end of the interview, "No business has a right to break the law".

Hear, hear!
