Thread: Donald Trump, police union at odds over ‘sanctuary cities’ funding

State and local governments received about $667 billion in federal funds in fiscal 2016, with about half that amount going toward Medicaid. Funding for discretionary grant programs — including those that expand the capacity of drug addiction treatment centers or help pay for police departments to obtain body cameras — totals about $200 billion.

New York City, where Mayor Bill de Blasio promised to protect immigrant families and resist Mr. Trump’s plan, is slated to receive $7.7 billion in federal grants during fiscal 2017, according to Bloomberg News. Meanwhile, Santa Fe, New Mexico, could lose about $6 million in federal funds, or about 2 percent of its annual budget.

Let me get this straight. You want $667 billion in federal taxpayer money but you don't want to enforce US immigration law or cooperate with federal immigration officials?! Really?!

Listen to me. These Mayors are on the take with the cartels, because no American would ever be stupid enough to take such a stance otherwise. See, your stance is the opposite of what we all know to be true and right, your stance defies all logic and common sense, and when you see nuttiness like this, the only conclusion is you're on the take with the cartels behind this insanity. No American defends criminals and lawbreakers from other countries. We might stand up for someone being abused by the legal system, falsely charged for a crime they didn't commit, being rough housed or murdered while in custody, or given unfair sentences inappropriate for the crime, but NO AMERICAN PROTECTS CRIMINALS AND LAWBREAKERS, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY'RE FROM OTHER COUNTRIES, AND MOST PARTICULARLY WHEN THEY'RE IN OUR COUNTRY FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY ILLEGALLY!!!

All of you Mayors who have set up this bizarre thing called a "sanctuary city" are on the take with the cartels behind illegal immigration. This scripted story you tell about needing immigrants to report crimes is the dumbest piece of nonsense I've ever heard!! If you didn't have millions of illegal aliens in your communities there would be no crime for them to report. You would just get the regular crime reports from citizens and legal immigrants. You are protecting the cartels in your cities. That's as obvious as the noses on your lyin' ass crooked faces.

Every single one of these Mayors and other Public Officials involved in this Sanctuary Cities crap needs a big visit from the FBI Public Officials Bribery Unit, and if we don't have one, one needs to be formed pronto. You have to get to the bottom of this, which I'm telling you, is the payola flowing from the cartels to the Mayors, Police Chiefs and others for protection of illegal aliens because they are running the gawd damn drug trade.

What is wrong with you ICE? Can't you see this? It's as plain as the noses on your faces too. And what about the US Attorneys in all of these areas? Are you blind too? And DEA, where in the hell are you? Too busy rough housing 18 year old citizens with a pot plant on their window sill?
