You need to pay special attention to the way the media is molding the Minuteman Project.

Watch how well meaning Americans get framed into racist.

Don't fall for the Arizona Republic's manipulation.

    Define Define Define

Does not compute - There are a lot of people who simply do not like Mexicans. As some will lie cheat and steal to cover each other's butt. Many folks believe they just want free stuff they do not deserve and have not earned, in the mean time here you have citizens born here barely making ends meet, driving 10 year old beater cars just to get to work. And see Mexicans getting instant credit driving Escalades etc. Infesting nice neighborhoods then trying to make them shit holes like back home in Mexico.

Granted Mexicans do not have sole ownership of the lies, cheating and stealing, but they make up for it in sheer number of said incidents.

The problem down south that is invading this country ought to wake someone in Government up, so the FBI is concerned about RACISTS? Good let them be concerned.

If there is going to be trouble down there they wouldn't catch it, until it is too late. If the Mexicans are stupid enough to do something real foolish they won't respond (because they can't).

It will all be fun and games concerning the government until BATF shows up, they shoot their own people (to kill). And have no concept of the Constitution and our rights. They are thugs that need to be in prison for life.

As is obvious, our government treats Immigration Laws like it treats Prisoner Abuse Laws: Does it serve the administrations present needs?

They will search the hell out of an arriving passenger at an eastcoast airport and return them if the papers aren’t in order. If a boat load of Cubans attempt to come ashore, they’re pushed back to sea.

But Mexicans pouring across the border? That’s cheap labor and future votes; so our government turns their collective heads.

One of our soldiers whacks somebody and it’s immediately checked out and he’s possibly court marshaled. But if the CIA need information from a prisoner? Torture the hell out of them.

One of the bad guys is suspected of war crimes, like Saddam, and we set up a hanging. But again our government is selective, like the German Leaders of WWII. “Trial for war crimes!

Well, not all. “Excuse me Mister Von Braun, could you show us how you got those rockets to go so far? Like the ones you sent to England and killed all those innocent civilians? We’ll make you an American Citizen and pay you well.

Now that the Minutemen have to take the law into their own hands, our government will fight for the illegals. It serves the administration’s purpose.

If they want to foot the bill for all the criminal activity being caused by illegals, let's let the Republic foot the bill....better yet let's send them to Mexico permanently.

They couldn't report a story unbiased if they tried. Besides we are probably footing the bill for many of their employees illegal family members, why else would they support the breaking of our laws and the destruction of our neighborhoods and our laws as we know them.

If they are aiding and abetting illegals, they are in the wrong.

Um, I have a question. Since when did the FBI become responsible for investigation racism? Which infraction of US federal law does one violate by being racist or in a racist group?

I've tried to tell people, some elements of the MSM are doing exactly what JR at FR is doing. This is a whitehouse public relations orchestrated smear campaign of the MMP.

MMP needs to address this before the event. I'm starting to think the stage is being set for a major bash of the entire IR movement. Any chance of MMP excluding guns and replacing the with cameras? A 'no guns' announcement would throw the OBLs for a loop.

I know the border is a dangerous place but it will require extreme bravery for this project with or without guns.

The radio station put the "FBI concern" in their headline:
AZ REPUBLIC SPINS MINUTEMAN PROJECT INTO RACISM - FBI concerned about racists participation in watch

And, here's the original story the radio station took issue with as copied from the link they provided. My guess is the supremacist "party-crashers" could be a very valid concern. (see bolded text) The Southern Poverty Law Center isn't exactly helping the cause either. (see their comments towards the end of the article)

    Supremacists a border worry
FBI, civilian group are concerned about racists joining border sweeps next month.
    SUSAN CARROLL
    The Arizona Republic Tucson Bureau

TOMBSTONE - The FBI and leaders of a civilian patrol set to descend on southern Arizona next month to prevent illegal immigrants from crossing the U.S.-Mexico border say they are becoming increasingly concerned about white supremacists and other extremists joining the effort.
The Internet-driven recruiting effort for the Minuteman Project has almost 900 volunteers and last week alone generated more than 1 million hits on the project's Web site, organizers said.

But the patrol also has drawn major interest on white supremacist Web sites and in their chat rooms. An Aryan Nation site links directly to the Minuteman Project home page with the words: "A call for action on part of ALL ARYAN SOLDIERS."

FBI spokeswoman Susan Herskovitz said the civilian patrol's plan to converge on this town of 1,500 on April 1 for a monthlong stakeout on the border is "definitely a concern." She declined to elaborate.

Jim Gilchrist, who launched the project, sometimes thinks of his brainchild and asks, "Oh, man, what have I created?" Still, Gilchrist, 56, a retired California accountant and Vietnam War veteran, said he is confident the group's efforts will be a "peaceful protest" by "patriots" who reject violence, and that members will successfully weed out any extremists.

The Minuteman Project is an outgrowth of an effort started in 2002 by Chris Simcox, a retired kindergarten teacher and California transplant. He founded an organization called Civil Homeland Defense, which patrols the desert, finds illegal immigrants and relays their locations to U.S. Border Patrol agents.

Simcox, 44, describes the efforts as a kind of expanded "neighborhood watch."

Gilchrist heard news accounts of Simcox's work, came to Arizona to meet him and in October launched the nationwide recruiting drive for the Minuteman Project.

The group's members plan to hold demonstrations and conduct round-the-clock patrols for a month in the San Pedro Valley, a popular smuggling corridor. Organizers say some volunteers may stay for days, while others plan to remain the whole month.

Gilchrist acknowledged all the attention has attracted fringe groups, mainly three "violent" factions that are trying to co-opt the group's efforts: white supremacists, radical pro-Hispanic groups and "open-border fanatics."

Organizers of the Minuteman Project say they are working to weed out overt racists from membership rolls and say they have turned over three people to the FBI. The agency would not confirm that information.

Simcox said applicants are screened, noting that the group identified a person who was posting on a white supremacist Web site and kicked him off the patrol.
All members will be issued ID badges, Simcox said, and anyone who is not pre-registered will not be allowed to participate. All will be required to provide a drivers license.

Simcox said he was upset by the association with the white power Web sites but has no way to stop them from linking to the Minuteman site. The project is listed under an Aryan Nation Web site's calendar of white power events. And the site has a chat room dedicated to the effort, including a posting talking about killing Mexican soldiers and sending them home in body bags.

The Aryan Nation did not return messages seeking comment. Its Web site includes a message that the group is "not interested in participating with any commercial media," in part because of "your anti-white stance."

Hedi Beirich, deputy director of the Alabama-based Southern Poverty Law Center, is skeptical of Minuteman organizers' claims that they will be able to weed out white supremacists.

"You have this vulnerable population crossing the border, and these semi-crazed Nazis who hate immigrants. It's just a combustible mix."

Minuteman organizers, who maintain that their efforts are an expression of their First Amendment rights, are taking the association with "racists" personally.

"Some people have said I'm racist, and that's just not true," Gilchrist said. "My son-in-law is a full-on Mexican, and my grandson is half-Mexican.

"It's not a race thing. This is an enforcement of law issue. I've said this so many times I get tired talking about it.

"AZ REPUBLIC SPINS MINUTEMAN PROJECT INTO RACISM"

I am just a simple, ordinary citizen with a couple of questions.

    AZ Republic:
What is your stand on enforcing our immigration laws?
Don't American citizens have the right to assemble?
Or do you think that only citizens that agree with you have that right?

    I did.

It seems to me that they should put as much effort into enforcing
our immigration laws as they are into worrying what the Minutemen are doing.

But I am just a simple minded citizen.
