Mexican gov’t offers citizens help with AZ sanctions law
Mexican gov’t offers citizens help with sanctions law
Sheryl Kornman
In an interview on Telemundo Wednesday, a spokesman for the Mexican consulate in Tucson assured Mexicans working here that the consulate will help them with difficulties they encounter as a result of Arizona’s new employer sanctions law.
Alejandro Ramos Cardoso told viewers the consulate will provide the services of several lawyers, experts in immigration and employment law, to advise Mexican citizens affected by the state law.
Ramos said Mexican citizens working in Tucson without legal work papers are frightened by the law. It requires employers to make sure an employee has the legal right to work in the United States.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials have said they will be more aggressive in their efforts to deport illegal workers here.
The law punishes employers for knowingly hiring illegal immigrants.
Hiring undocumented aliens is a federal offense; Arizona’s law now holds employers accountable. The law is being challenged in federal court.

Close the consulate for aiding and abetting illegal immigrants and interference by a foreign government encouraging criminal activities against OUR LAWS.

How can they possibly help them?? Being legal is not exactly a gray area. I hope this ticks off ICE so they get really aggressive. It should!

How is the consulate going to help them? Are they going to start issuing fake US work permits now?
I just don't get it.
I think the only way they can help is to buy them a plane ticket home.PRESS 1 FOR ENGLISH. PRESS 2 FOR DEPORTATION.
