APOn Friday, Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies raided both Parks and Sons Inc. locations in El Mirage, and Youngstown, AZ. The raids came after a six month-long investigation tracked illegal alien identity thieves to the trash collection business.

Seven suspects were arrested. One had an outstanding warrant, two were targets of the investigation, and four more were discovered and turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. All are in the country illegally.

Apparently, just before deputies arrived, a cell phone call tipped off the illegal aliens to the raid, as some hid in dumpsters, and others had to be pulled from the barbed wire fence surrounding the properties.

Following the worksite raid, Sheriff Joe Arpaio made the following statement: “A lot of critics and politicians seem to forget that in these identity theft cases, we have real victims who have had some form of their identification stolen. They always throw up the argument that illegal immigration is a victimless crime; ask those who are victims of identity theft about that.â€
