Eight slain in Juárez over weekend

At least eight people were killed in Juárez Saturday and Sunday, including a man who was tied up and had his face covered with plastic bags, according to Chihuahua state police reports.
On Sunday:

A man in his mid 30s was pronounced dead at a local hospital in Juárez after a gunshot wound to his head, officials said. The unidentified victim was attacked at Laura and Josefina streets in the Lomas del Rey neighborhood. State police seized a white 1992 Wolkswagen Sedan.

A 28-year-old man was pronounced dead at a Red Cross clinic. The man, identified as Ezequiel Magallanes Ruiz, sustained firearm wounds to his right arm, and was found at Fortín de la Soledad and Durango streets in the Morelos neighborhood, according to police.

A man in his mid 20s was shot to death at Durango and Querétato streets in the Colinas de Juárez neighborhood, officials said.
On Saturday:

A man was found shot to death at Centeno and Tecnológico avenues in the Ampliación Aeropuerto neighborhood, authorities said. The victim, identified as Oscar Reyes Robles, 35, was discovered in the middle of the street. The victim was shot all over his body, officials said. Forensic experts retrieved seven bullet casings, while a 1992 white Isuzu pickup was seized.

Two men in their 20s were discovered dead at Camino Real Highway and Navojoa Street in the Ampliación Fronteriza neighborhood. Both victims sustained firearm wounds all over their bodies. Officials recovered five bullet casings at the scene.

A man in his early 40s was found dead at Grafito and Acacias streets in the El Consumidor neighborhood, officials said. The body, found in the middle of the street, had three plastic bags covering his head and face, and his hands and ankles were tied up with a white string. The victim showed four tattoos with women's faces and the name Martha.

A man identified as José Tamayo Martínez, 35, was discovered at Cromo and Mauricio Corredor streets in the Ignacio Aldama neighborhood with several gunshot wounds to his head. Officials retrieved three bullet casings and a white 1998 Mercury Tracer.
