Police and Border Patrol agents captured 14 undocumented immigrants who scattered Monday night when confronted by police in Northeast El Paso, law enforcement officials said.

The migrants fled about 8:45 p.m. Monday when police were called to check on suspicious people in the neighborhood near Hondo Pass and Gateway South, police said.

Border Patrol agents, a helicopter and search dog helped find the migrants -- 11 from Guatemala and three from Mexico -- by 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in the area, Border Patrol officials said.
