    Dueling LA immigration rallies (LOTS of PICS)

    LOS ANGELES (AP) - There were dueling immigration rallies in L-A today, marking the one-year anniversary of a massive pro-immigrant demonstration that jammed downtown streets with a half-million protesters. Today's rallies didn't come close to bringing the crowds of the event they commemorated.

    Several hundred immigrant rights activists marched downtown to protest immigration raids and demand reform. But police said the crowd was too thin to encircle the Federal Building as planned.

    Blocks away, a group of anti-illegal immigration demonstrators demanded stiffer enforcement of the borders and verbally clashed with pro-immigration forces on the streets.

    Earlier, hundreds attended an earlier pro-immigrant rally at the Los Angeles Sports Arena that featured a speech from Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

    I love it, I'm so excited to see ALL AMERICANS OF ALL RACES! The signs were awesome, that lady's Tshirt was awesome, the pics are awesome. I almost wish I lived in California.

    Wow, wow, and wow....

    As I looked through these I thought of such a march through my town. We have recently had two very small demostrations/marches by the illegals -I'm imagining a counter protest...

    Not having spent much time in SoCal .... I guess the OBL folks
    in the picture don't know how much it affects fly-over America
    to see the American flag intentionally put in the gutter?

    The video of the kids is disturbing ... the parents are obviously
    teaching the kids to literally flip off American values.

    Those are GREAT pictures!! I agree wholeheartedly about seeing ALL RACES at this rally!! They can't call racism when every race is represented at this rally!!

    We need more of these across the nation!!
