A Shelbyville woman allegedly in the United States illegally has been accused of stealing another woman's identity.
Sara Chavez Aguilar, 33, Smith Street, allegedly used the name of a California woman to obtain employment at Sanford Corp., Detective Sgt. Jason Williams of the Shelbyville Police Department said.

Aguilar stole the identity of Angelica Ortega, Orange, Calif., Williams said. She had a forged resident alien card and three forged Social Security cards when arrested.

Williams began the local investigation after Orange police detective Craig Koki was notified of the identity theft.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer for Middle Tennessee placed a "hold" on Aguilar, who will be deported, Williams said.

Hopefully she'll be doing some prison time before being deported. We're never going to get a handle on the illegal immigration problem if we just keep giving them free passage back home for a short vacation. If the lady doesn't do some prison time, she will be back within 30 days (no doubt about it).

Sending criminals straight home is not a punishment! I was punished worse than that as a child when I got my butt spanked before being placed in the corner.

One small report on ID Theft? Hell, that goes on every day out here. Illegals are found using some one elses ss# and it`s made to sound like a 5 year old snuck a piece of candy from the kitchen.

Disiplin= When we did some thing wrong as a kid, we "knew" that "some where" between the time we were caught to the end of that day, there was an ass whipping waiting for us. The worse part was not knowing when.
