Enforcement and fear in the Hispanic community

This just tweaks me to no end

    http://www.rctimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar ... 09008/1304

The part that tweaks me is

"A once growing Hispanic population is Springfield is now in sharp decline after immigration raids last month spread fear throughout the city.

Some estimate that 1,000 Hispanic residents have fled the city in fear or went into hiding after the raids."

Why would a Hispanic resident flee the city in fear?

Could we be talking about illegal foreign nationals ?

"Jose Linares, 47, an elder of the Iglesia Adventista Del Septimo Dia, says his church has been hit hard by the fear gripping the Hispanic community."

If his community is in fear , they are illegal and should fear , they should be arrested and deported along with him for aiding and abetting

Bottom line , ICE raids work , it scares the daylights out of them

Hispanics know as well as American citizens that if they are here Legally, they have nothing to fear.
This whole article is a bunch of bunk!
If these people were not here Ilegally then they wouldn't be running!

Keep up the good work ICE

Thats why you will see whole areas being cleared out after an
    ICE raid

Why on earth would legal immigrants have any fear of ICE or
    the cops

If illegals know that raids are in an area, and they decide to flee out of fear, they are doing so because they don't belong here. But the pro-illegals see this and conjure up phony stories to help them out. Remember, the pro-illegals will say and do anything to keep lawbreakers here.

Whenever they are losing we get the "fear" stories. Whenever they have a win it's the "country needs to be bilingual" or "we aren't going anywhere" attitude. We're all sick of the BS.

Totally true there are people that abide illegals all the time. If there were legally they would have nothing to fear. Reading this artcile does make me think maybe some of the illegals realize what they are doing is wrong and they are self-deporting.

    Enforcement and Fear

The problem in Texas is that many are "deporting" from enforcement states and coming here. My neighborhood is crawling with illegals. I have noticed a huge invasion in the last 2-4 years.
The State and local governments here are not willing to enforce any laws against illegals. Their unregulated taco stands are on street corners everywhere. Our schools have outbreaks of TB, even tho my kids are required to have a TB test before enrolling. Bank accounts, mortages, welfare, everything is here for the taking.
Seriously, we have purchased land in another state so that eventually we can leave this part of "little mexico".
