Immigration debate goes online
By SUZANNE MANNEH
New America Media
To counter a fierce anti-immigration presence in cyberspace, immigrant rights activists are taking their campaigns online, where they hope to change the tone of the immigration debate.
New America Media sponsored a conference call with reporters and editors of ethnic media to discuss this issue.
Liza Sabater, an established blogger of Culture Kitchen and the Daily Gotham, said that as immigrant rights activists throughout the United States use the Internet to get out their message and expand their network, they are getting support from ethnic bloggers.
Even those who don’t consider themselves political are writing about immigration issues, she said, because the issue is part of their everyday lives.

First, I wonder what the criteria is for being labeled a "hate group".
Second, perhaps it's time for us to compile a list of hate groups. I can think of many who call me a racist and so on. I feel hate coming from these groups. La Raza should be first on the list.
How about it William?avatar:*912 March in DC

[quote]we’ve also been overwhelmed by the response of people of good will around the country who care about American values and the threat that new nativist groups, like FAIR, pose to those core American values.â€

The article was published by National Catholic Reporter. Do their religious "ties" make them authorities on illegal immigration? Do ALL anti-illegal immigration groups get rated as a HATE group by the SPLC?
Anti-American groups are all over the place. They have forums at LaRaza, MECHA, Hispanic Business, the DreamAct Portal, to name a few. Why aren't they labeled as a HATE group?
What happened to the DA portal anyway? How can people join if they can't register? What morons!
RIP Butterbean! We miss you and hope you are well in heaven.-- Your ALIPAC friends
