It is published in 'El Pais' one of the major Spanish newspapers. There are no English new sources I'm aware of now (only German and Spanish).

France wants to make the expulsion of illegals its top priority for its forthcoming EU presidency period and Italy pushes for detention camps for illegals. Another important point is harsh consequences for countries refusing to accept back their citizens.

I don't believe this claim above.

EU Population is approx 550 million, 2 million 'immigrants' per yr.

US Population is approx 304 million, approx 1 mil LEGAL immigrants + <x> number of illegal ones (estimates vary, but has typically been about 1800-2000 per day; extrapolated out over 1 year = 650k (low-end, likely more), for a total of 1.65 million. Although, last year's increase was even more than THAT (somewhere between 2 and 2.5 million).
These are the numbers for the US alone. You'd also have to add the numbers for Canada, and Mexico to gauge for N America as a whole.

I think you can make a solid case that North America absorbs more total immigration than does the EU.

Just means all the more that will seek (and be granted by our drunk with power government) asylum in the USA and Canada.
