The U.S./Mexico border is divided into various sectors by the U.S. Border Patrol. I recently toured several of the sectors on assignment for Breitbart News and was given an exclusive tour by the National Border Patrol Council. They revealed thousands of incidents of Mexican nationals literally cutting through our border fences and creatively exploiting other U.S. Border security infrastructure.

The first video shows a crew of contractors welding and replacing U.S. border fences that had been repeatedly cut by Mexican Nationals attempting to exploit a nearby gateway. The fences are between El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Mexico in U.S. Border Patrol's El Paso Sector.

The second video, also in the El Paso Sector, shows one of the hundreds of drainage tunnels that lead from the U.S./Mexico border into U.S. neighborhoods. Mexican nationals attempting to illegally enter, along with narcotics smugglers, simply run across the often dry Rio Grande River and cut the grates over the drainage tunnels. Stu Harris, Vice President of the National Border Patrol Council Local 1929, which represents U.S. Border Patrol Agents in the El Paso Sector, spoke exclusively with Breitbart News on the issue.

"They come and mostly cut through the grates, but they don't completely cut through at the time." he said. "Someone comes later and kicks out the cut area for the actual smuggling." He added: "Once someone gets into a U.S. neighborhood, it becomes very difficult to find them. Some of the narcotics smugglers have places in those neighborhoods as well."

The third video shows an international railroad bridge, also in the El Paso Sector. The bridge connects railways between El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Mexico. Mexican nationals and drug smugglers attempting to illegally enter the U.S. exploit the crossing, according to Harris. "The gates open up after dark. On one side there are the Mexican authorities, on our side are U.S. authorities." He added: "We have footage of people hiding on top of the rail cars that pass into the U.S. They jump off the tracks near the bus station and remove their outer garments. They then get on U.S. buses and enter the interior of the U.S."

This issue is significant in that the National Border Patrol Council recently publicly called out their parent agency, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, for allegedly ordering Border Patrol Agents to cease searching buses leaving the U.S./Mexico border area.

The holes being cut in our nation's border defenses have had real impacts on security. I recently wrote of two such indisputable instances for Breitbart News: one involved a U.S. Border Patrol Agent who was lured, trapped, and murdered by Mexican Nationals who had cut through a border fence, and another instance involved two FBI agents who were brutally beaten, ultimately requiring reconstructive surgery.
