Hispanic students quit Alabama schools over deportation fears after new law forces teachers to check immigration status

Hispanic students have started vanishing from Alabama public schools in the wake of a court ruling that upheld the state's tough new law cracking down on illegal immigration.
Education officials say scores of immigrant families have withdrawn their children from classes or kept them home this week, afraid that sending the kids to school would draw attention from authorities.
There are no precise statewide numbers. But several districts with large immigrant enrolments — from small towns to large urban districts — reported a sudden exodus of children of Hispanic parents.

This is a Great Law for Alabama and hopefully will force surrounding states to take the same action; if not the ILLEGALS from Alabama will pour into their states. Of course our Gov. Perry will seek out these ILLEGALS in hope they will come to Texas. Sadly Perry is not concerned about securing Texas and the United States from the ILLEGALS, Perry has a heart you know and most likely wants to escort the ILLEGALS into Texas so the Taxpayers can pay for their education through college for his Elitist Political Contributors to benefit from the cheap ILLEGAL labor. Perry is not fooling anyone; he is "TEXAS TOAST"!
