Two farm workers found in Texas being questioned re: Murders

Two farm workers found in Texas being questioned about Burlington County farm murders
    Friday March 06, 2009, 10:52 AM
The two farm workers being sought in connection with the FEb., 28 murders of their co-workers at a Burlington County horse farm were taken into custody Tuesday evening in Houston, Texas.

New Jersey State Police detectives learned that Carlos Reyes and Cesar Reyes, who resided at the Sterling Chase Horse Farm on Highland Road in Springfield Township had left the area, traveling by bus to Houston.

Working with federal agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the U.S. Marshal's Office, NJSP intercepted the brothers at an apartment after they had been picked up by an acquaintance at a bus stop earlier that day.

At this time, the Reyes brothers have not been charged for anything related to the murders, but are being held on detainers from ICE. It has been determined that they are not in the country legally.

New Jersey troopers flew to Houston on Wednesday to interview the pair. That interview was not attempted until Thursday. They hope to gain valuable information about the circumstances surrounding the brutal murders.

It is believed that Carlos and Cesar (Pablo) Reyes came from the town of Alancho in Honduras. It is not known for sure if they were attempting to go home.

The victims, Alex Aguilar and Marcial Morales-Maldonado, were also from Honduras.

More information will be released if and when any charges are filed in this investigation.

    TEXT SIZE By: DAVID LEVINSKY
    Burlington County Times
SPRINGFIELD — State police have located two immigrant farmworkers who went missing last week around the same time two of their co-workers were found bludgeoned to death.

Brothers Carlos and Cesar Reyes were taken into custody Tuesday evening in Houston after detectives from the state police learned that the pair were traveling there by bus, Lt. Gerald Lewis, spokesman for the state police, said today.

Lewis said state police informed agents from the U.S. Marshal’s Office and federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement of the brothers’ travel plans. Officers from those two agencies then intercepted and arrested the two men at an apartment after they were picked up by an acquaintance earlier that day, Lewis said.

Both brothers were wanted as “persons of interestâ€

I read things like this and think about all the "hate crimes" being perpetrated against illegals...supposedly by "racist" Americans.
