Federal agents search Lafayette business

LAFAYETTE, Colo. (AP) - Immigration officials and a federal criminal investigative team have executed a search warrant at an optics company in Lafayette.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman Carl Rusnok says ICE agents and the Defense Criminal Investigative Service participated in today's search of Rocky Mountain Instrument Company.

Rusnok says he can't provide details because the investigation is ongoing. The search warrant has been sealed.

The U.S. attorney's office says there's no danger to area residents.

A Web site for Rocky Mountain Instrument Company says it provides electro-optical systems, optics, coatings and assemblies.

The company didn't return a phone call to The Associated Press.
