SALT LAKE CITY -- A federal judge on Tuesday blocked a new Utah immigration law that would have allowed police to check the citizenship status of anyone they arrest.

U.S. District Judge Clark Waddoups issued his ruling in Salt Lake City hours after the law went into effect, citing its similarity to an Arizona law currently before federal courts.

The American Civil Liberties Union and National Immigration Law Center had sued to stop the law, warning its implementation could lead to racial profiling.

Utah Assistant Attorney General Jerrold Jansen said the ruling was "not a surprise."

Jansen said after the hearing that the law is "fully constitutional" and that his office plans to "argue it vigorously."

The next hearing on the matter is set for July 14.

The law, signed by Republican Gov. Gary Herbert in March, would require police to check the citizenship status of anyone arrested on suspicion of a felony or class-A misdemeanor, while giving officers discretion to check the citizenship of those stopped for traffic infractions and other lesser offenses.

Class A misdemeanors include theft, negligent homicide and criminal mischief, while felonies range from aggravated burglary to rape and murder.

In 2008, Senator Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, said the confirmation of Waddoups (a Bush nominee), is "vitally important to our state." He called Waddoups an outstanding lawyer, saying he will do a terrific job."

For who is the question we should be asking.

Does this adolescent game of musical chairs ever end? They constantly feign victimization. Fraud oozes from their intentions. Their agenda is elucidated. No mystery there.

They are co-counsel with a multitude of special-interest entities, including the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF).

NILC is a partner in the California Immigrant Policy Center (CIPC), which is a collaboration among the Asian Pacific American Legal Center (APALC), the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA), and Services, Immigrant Rights Network, and Education (SIREN).

Salt Lake City Police Chief Chris Burbank, in the time-dishonored law tradition, decided that dereliction of duty is far more imperative than the opportunity to confront lawlessness. Chief Burbank read innocent Americans the Miranda Act by opposing HB 497, saying with a straight face that it undermines trust and cooperation between local police and immigrant communities.

Immigrant, or illegal alien communities?

Attorney General Eric Holder told a congressional committee that, if Utah doesn’t make adjustments, the Justice Department would have to step in.

The lawsuit was filed in the US District Court for the District of Utah on behalf of civil rights, labor, social justice and business organizations, the Utah Coalition of La Raza, Service Employees International Union, Latin American Chamber of Commerce, Workers' United Rocky Mountain Joint Board, Centro Civico Mexicano, Coalition of Utah Progressives, individually named plaintiffs who would be subject to harassment or arrest under the law and a class of similarly situated people (illegal aliens).

My new name for this anti-American felicitous collaboration: THIEVES (Treasonous Hispanic Insidious Encroachment of Vociferous Erratic Sycophants).

What can be said for these activist racists who judge-shop, the immoral liberal cowardice America-hating class that permits this to be done to the nation, and that dances around the golden calf of perversity as a milestone of depraved retreat?

The American judiciary in the minds of the American people has all but lost it's credibility. It has gone from being the standard for law and order to being an advocate for the Hispanic ideological agenda, and those who wish to destroy the country.

At some point, the identity-group grievance-mongers and the politicians who kowtow to their intimidation tactics have to ask themselves: Is it worth it?

Is what we gain from turning a blind eye to out-of-control illegal immigration and its attendant menace worth the tremendous cost and potential voters for a duplicitous party?

If you want to see the actual future of Utah, and the rest of the country, continue sitting on your hands while our laws are not enforced, dismiss the La Raza subversion, then take a weekend and drive through Los Angeles. This once incredible county is becoming a polyglot nation where extremes of numbers of people, wealth and poverty mirrors Tijuana.

They are not speaking English, nor do they want to - up from 79 percent in 1990. They insist we learn Spanish. When more than half the population of so vast a county do not speak English, do not listen to the same radio and TV programs as the rest of us, do not read the same newspapers, magazines, or books, do not share the same heroes, history, or holidays, how can we say we are one nation and one people?

Los Angeles is becoming a separate nation.

The current hate rhetoric that this racist indoctrination movement against this country and us, is increasingly getting dangerous, is ultimately equally consequential as the underming behind-our-backs effort to transform it through repeated tsumanis of illegal aliens, unnatural fraud-reproduction, and the relentless attempt for Reconquista of the Southwest.

This deluge is polarizing the nation, robbing citizens of jobs, bleeding taxpayers, threatens and leaves our national security vulnerable to terrorist attack because they insist we make it easier for them, dangerously balkanizes the country into an overwhelming unassimilated annex of Mexico without any simblance of loyalty, disregards our founding values and fully exposes their malice.

Bill Clinton uttered countless deceptive words during his eight-year occupancy of the White House, but perhaps none captured the essence of his slippery serpent-like dishonesty better than these: "It all depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is."

The reality of it "is" the blatant "us against them" fervor; the explosive numbers of illegal aliens established in cities throughout this country who sympathize with the La Raza ideology and dream of turning America into an Mexican state; "is" nearing violent repercussions; "is" ultimately equally consequential as the subversive duplicitous effort to transform it through the nonstop flood of illegal aliens, unnatural fraud-reproduction, and the relentless attempt for transformation; our own cowardly leaders who, even after September 11, keep telling us that illegal aliens are all law-abiding and hard-working; keep warning us against our supposed anti-immigrant bigotry, and continue allowing tens of millions of illegal aliens invaders to march into this country as if normal.

The storm of illegal aliens into the US this year will total 3 + million at the minimum - enough to fill 22,000 Boeing 737-700 airliners, or 60 flight every day for a year.

We have more illegal aliens here than the sum total of all legal immigrants who ever came to America in the four hundred years of our history.

This self-delusion about what is happening and the paralysis in the face of this catastrophe have no precedent.

The penultimate scene, now featured as one would a Third World pandemic, is underway. This sustained pageant of profuse irrational debutantes with abrogation disease is the invasion unremitted.

How long do they think fed up Americans are going to stand by and watch this happen?

If Federal Judges are blocking all law enforcements against illegal aliens, isn't it the Judges duties to set a time frame for President Obama Administration to enact new laws that would keep citizens safe, while the illegal immigration debates are put on back burners? It is not a wise decission to block all laws against undocumented aliens, because as we can see many are abusing the law blockings in all States. Also, it is too dangerous not to have laws enacted and enforced against people who have entered this Country unlawfully and undocumented.

How about the law authorizing a workers program in Utah? Oh, sorry, only laws clamping down on illegals are bad. Laws giving them benefits are approved of by the federal government.

I am also wondering why the guest workers program were not mention at all when the enforcement laws was blocked? Why not block the entire compact, instead of just parts of the immigration laws? It seems most people are willing to leave laws in place that benefit illegal’s, but not the enforcement laws...Strange actions.
