Religious leaders back NC immigration reform group
Associated Press - October 7, 2008 4:05 AM ET
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - A new grassroots initiative on immigration reform says more than 300 clergy and religous leaders have signed up to support the North Carolina group.
The North Carolina Religious Coalition for Justice for Immigrants will hold a news conference Tuesday in Raleigh to discuss immigration reform. Five religious leaders will speak, including the Rev. William Barber, who is president of the North Carolina chapter of the NAACP.
Other speakers are: Bishop Michael Burbidge of the Catholic Diocese of Raleigh; Iman Oliver Muhammad of the As Salaam Islamic Center of Raleigh; the Rev. Cookie Santiago of the N.C. Conference of the United Methodist Church; and Rabbi Eric Solomon of Beth Meyer Synagogue in Raleigh.

You know they profit off the illegal alien congregation and that is exactly why they are jumping into the debate. Members in the church, equals tithes and offerings in the coffers. The more members you have, the more money you have and they don't care if their congregation is breaking the law, as long as their bottom line is benefiting. They are just as bad as the employers and really no different in my "valuable" opinion.
Framkly, they should loose their non-profit status due to lobbying.

I am for justice for immigrants and illegal aliens alike.
Justice for illegal aliens means they pay the price under current law and leave America.
We need to find out who is behind "North Carolina Religious Coalition for Justice for Immigrants"
