Federal immigration and customs officials are serving arrest and search warrants at three Western New York locations this morning, as part of a larger investigation into the use of illegal aliens at work sites in five states.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, working with the U.S. attorney’s office and other law-enforcement partners, served the warrants at three locations in Western New York, plus other sites in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Georgia.
The investigation is targeting both illegal aliens and their employers.
More information about the investigation and arrests will be available later today, according to ICE officials.

Restaurant Owner Accused Of Hiring Illegal Aliens
Wednesday, April 16, 2008 03:02 PM - WBEN Newsroom
Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - The owner of El Caporal in Cheektowaga and ten business associates in four states have been arrested, accused of smuggling illegal Mexican immigrants into the U.S. to work at his Mexican restaurants.
Jorge Delarco of Depew and several of his restaurant managers were arrested along with several managers during early morning raids. Federal investigators say they also searched the home of Delarco's sister in Georgia.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement investigators say the illegal aliens were forced to staff El Caporal and other restaurants for long hours with little pay to work off smuggling fees and rent.
