The case for open borders
Robert Z. Nemeth
Commentary
He stresses that today’s influx of Latino newcomers, legal and undocumented, is similar to the waves of Irish, Italian and Eastern European immigrants.
Jason L. Riley, a member of The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board, is a rare specimen. He is a conservative African-American who rejects affirmative action and champions a cause that is an anathema to most fellow conservatives: wide-open borders and virtually unrestricted immigration. I had an opportunity to read a proof of his upcoming book (“Let Them In: The Case for Open Bordersâ€

1. The immigrants of yesterday came in legally.
2. They were not eligible for ANY welfare or any such programs that were meant for citizens. Their children were also not eligible for these programs until the parents became citizens.
If we open the borders and CLOSE ALL access to ANY and ALL social entitlement programs (including birthright citizenship) and no jobs for them, the deluge of illegal aliens WILL die down to a trickle. They come for the freebies, while all the money they make goes back to their homelands.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

A glaring example of a person who is walled-off from reality and is rehashing the same old worn-out arguments that have been debunked a long time ago.

The sub-prime crisis can be traced directly to the "Community Re-Investment Act, originally under Carter and furthered under Clinton. Banks were strong-armed into giving loans to non-creditworthy customers as a result of so-called "red-lining." After this, it was expanded into morgages. Remember Bush bragging about the increase in minority home ownership?? Then illegal aliens got into the game. Everybody began to believe they were "entitled" to buy a home regardless of their financial situation.
The govt. essentially created the mess and tries to blame the financial markets.

after reading this trash i believe he suffers from a very deep guilt trip . Driven from something in a earlier life . I say this cause his own Ideology does not support his own self defined purpose in life .
Wide open Borders = Conservative =free market conservatism=anti-illegal immigration from the right .
He's a GLOBALIST . NOT a conservative at all . A left wing RINONam vet 1967/1970 Skull & Bones can KMA .Bless our Brothers that gave their all ..It also gives me the right to Vote for Chuck Baldwin 2008 POTUS . NOW or never*

And they also were not brazen as the savages we deal with today. Not only are they illegal, they demand everything under the sun, they murder and rape our citizens and their own, they hang our flag up-side-down, spit on it, and replace theirs on our buildings. Not to mention how they make fools of themselves marching on our soil for their...rights? Nope, not the same at all! They're sub-human...
Either this guy is in serious denial, just plain stupid, or perhaps he should stay away from the wacky weed...
