Aziz Rehman Osmani, 22, was arrested in Boston Monday after allegedly making terror threats at Reagan National Airport in Washington D.C. According to Boston police and law enforcement, Osmani began making threats to travelers at the airport, and then proceeded to assault a police officer. He later fled the airportJames Kenneally, a Boston police spokesman, announced there was a warrant out for arrest of the young Muslim on eight charges related to the airport incident.

However, that was not the end of Osmani’s crusade of criminal activity.

On Monday morning following the airport incident, Osmani allegedly caused a disturbance in a jewelry store on Washington Street in Boston when he stole a piece of jewelry and refused to return it. Boston police personnel began the search for Osmani after the Boston Regional Intelligence Center reviewed the store’s security footage and produced a photo of the suspect.

Finally, before his arrest, Osmani was found leaving a “suspicious device” on the steps of the John W. McCormack Building on Beacon Hill. State Police responded, but the investigation discovered it was actually a copy of the Koran, the holy book of Islam.
