Female fugitive back in Arizona after deportation

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — A woman on the run for nearly two years from federal drug charges in Arizona is in custody after being deported from Mexico.
The U.S. Marshals Service took custody of 23-year-old Samantha Jo Fisher late Friday at the port of entry in Lukeville, Ariz.
They say an arrest warrant was issued for Fisher in December 2009 after she failed to abide by conditions of her release while facing the drug charges.
Authorities learned she fled to Mexico, but it took until this past July before Fisher was tracked to Puerto Penasco, Sonora.
Republic of Mexico immigration officials found Fisher at the residence of a family member in Puerto Penasco on Friday and she was arrested.
Authorities say she's been booked into the Pima County Jail pending a federal court hearing.
