BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Five Chinese nationals brought Chinese women into the country illegally and forced them into prostitution at eight businesses disguised as massage parlors and acupuncture clinics, federal authorities said.

They were picked up in raids in the Buffalo region Monday, culminating an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement into suspected prostitution and human trafficking. The suspects recruited, harbored and employed women, mainly from China, to engage in prostitution, the agency said.

"This investigation is a graphic example of the perils faced by women who are smuggled into the country," said Peter Smith, special agent in charge of the agency's office of investigations in Buffalo.

Let's face it law enforcement would have raided this establishment ANYWAY. Regardless of illegals working there. I would be more impressed if law enforcement went to a legitimate company and demanded to see employees green cards or other proof of status.
