Thread: To fix immigration, banish career politicians from congress

Career politicians have only one goal...REELECTION! And if they think that
allowing illegals will get them more votes, they will keep ignoring our leaky borders, sanctuary cities, and loopholes for amnesty.

Real change requires REAL CHANGE! in Congress.

To get real change, we need to "Throw The Bums Out!" And we can only do that by enacting Congressional Term Limits, which requires a constitutional amendment. And to get that, we need an Article V Convention for proposing amendments.

I third that notion! There should be limits on how long they can serve, but good luck ever getting that bill passed Congress, let alone into Congress.

Yes, I can't believe the Founding Fathers ever envisioned serving in the House or Senate to be a de facto lifetime job. Chalk me up for the 4th.

While I realize a lot of people may not agree with me on this one, I too, actually have rather favorable opinions about public funding of campaigns as well. I believe this will be the only way, to get the strong influence of deep-pocketed corporations and individuals OUT of the elections process. <- This is the thing that is choking our democratic system and corrupting SO MANY of the elected politicians (all aforementioned is IMHO, of course)
