DELRAY BEACH - A multi-agency task force investigation led to the arrests of five driver's license examiners, the State Attorney's Office said.

The task force, headed up by the State Attorney's Office, was formed to investigate the issuance of Florida driver's licenses to illegal immigrants who produced fraudulent passports and/or U.S.I-94 forms as identity and proof of presence in the United States.

Each driver's license examiner was employed by the Department of Motor Vehicles and worked at the driver's license office at 14570 South Military Trail, west of Delray Beach.

The examiners were charged with the following: driver's license fraud, official misconduct, unlawful compensation and computer crimes.

The investigation is ongoing and the names of the suspects were not released.
