Illegal alien charged with assaulting police officer in Florida (with a machete)

On Tuesday night, Flagler County sheriff's deputies arrested Rafael Rodriguez, 25, after he actually called 911 to report that he had been shot in the head.

Just before 10:00 p.m., deputies arrived at Rodriguez’ home and observed a cut on his head, but he refused medical attention.

According to the arrest report, Rodriguez was highly intoxicated, this, combined with a language barrier made it difficult for the deputies to determine how Rodriguez was injured.

Eventually, Rodriguez explained that he some sort of altercation with a group of men over a vehicle. While the deputies were questioning those suspects, they received a call about a man throwing Molotov cocktails into a nearby road.

The man turned out to be Rodriguez, who then ran from the scene, back to his home.

When deputies arrived at Rodriguez’ residence again, he reportedly approached them with an 18-inch machete in his hand, and refused all commands (given in Spanish) to drop the weapon.

Deputies used a Taser, to subdue Rodriguez and took him into custody.

Rodriguez was transported to Florida Hospital Flagler, but again refused treatment. He is charged with aggravated assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.

Rodriguez is currently being held in the Flagler County Inmate Facility on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer.

We were waiting for backup units to arrive when the attack occurred, at that time I was a translator.

I agree 100% illegal immigrants will perform any acts of crime, without a second thought.
