Nine illegals being deported

A new federal program has helped streamline the process, Santa Rosa lawmen say

Nine of 23 illegal immigrants arrested in February in Santa Rosa County were picked up Tuesday morning for deportation.

All nine had been found guilty of using false documents to obtain employment, which is a third-degree felony, according to a Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office news release. They all received 18 months probation.

“Their probation will automatically be terminated as soon as the deportation process is complete,â€
