That's all I ever get here in NYC.
It seems to be an epidemic all across this nation! I think the important thing is to keep throwing them out of office until they understand if you lie in a campaign and don't keep you oath or word, you will only spend 1 term in office! thats it no more!

maybe when they figure that out they will say what they mean and stick to their promises, but it is up to us to make sure they clarify their stance on all important issues.

We have to stop being afraid to confront or question them when they are campaigning.....I remember in the last election they shut everyone up who asked an immigration question by saying , don't use illegals as a scapegoat...Mc Cain and Obama both did this to intimidate people!

Six years in the Senate is waay tooo long and that needs to be changed.

I'm thinking I will vote for Crist since he is honest about being for Amnesty instead of LYING like Rubio.

    Helluva choice huh ?

When asked about illegal immigrants taking advantage of government services, Rubio said that American citizens are also guilty of welfare abuse.
Rubio is on the defensive for Hispanic illegal aliens. Rubio knows very well that illegal aliens are the ones with more than 1 id card and leech off our goverment any way they can.

``We picked one or two key issues,'' Rubio said in a recent interview. ``States can't solve illegal immigration.''
IMO thats a cop-out. Yes the states CAN solve alot of the illegal immigration problem. As a matter of fact most states pass their own laws to fight against illegal immigration since our federal government refuses to enforce our laws.

This is despicable that he would use American citizens as somehow a justification for the ILLEGAL ACTIONS of illegal invaders. American citizens are entitled to welfare if they need it! That's not abuse!

Any welfare extended to illegal invaders constitutes abuse because they shouldn't be here in the first place, much less have access to welfare or any other tax payer funded assistance.

Thank you Nobueno ... there is a page 2 to the article I hadn't noticed. Here is most of it which tells the Rubio Real Tale:

"But after hearing Rubio outline his position on illegal immigration during a recent trip to Brown's home turf in the Panhandle, the lawmaker said it was ``consistent with the terms of the bill I filed.''

"Rubio advocates a national guest worker program in which immigrants can't get a job without a tamper-proof card validating their legal status. Brown's 2008 proposal, similarly tried to root out illegal immigrants by making it harder for them to get jobs. It would have required public employers and state contractors to participate in a now-voluntary federal system to verify the legal status of their workers.

"While Rubio maintains the issue ``has to be dealt with squarely at the federal level,'' Brown and other lawmakers say they filed bills because the federal government has failed to solve the problem.

"``I think the states could do a better job than federal government, and they have great financial incentives,'' Brown said, referring to the costs of providing illegal immigrants with emergency health care and educating their children in public schools.

    "`OFFENSIVE'

"Brown set off a furor in 2007 when he sent an e-mail to fellow lawmakers saying ```Don't forget to pay your taxes -- 12 million illegal aliens are depending on you!'' Rubio called the message ``wrong'' and ``offensive'' at a time when the Republican Party was immersed in a national debate over whether the immigration issue was pushing away Hispanic voters.

"``The Republican Party is not the anti-immigration party,'' Rubio says frequently on the campaign trail. ``It's the pro-legal immigration party.''

"The sound bite reflects Rubio's carefully calculated approach: show respect for the rule of law while avoiding harsh rhetoric.

"When asked about illegal immigrants taking advantage of government services, Rubio said that American citizens are also guilty of welfare abuse.

"``They're God's children, but they're here illegally,'' he recently told a Republican club in northwest Florida. ``You can't round up 11 million people because we don't live in a police state. But you can't grant amnesty either because if you do, you will destroy any hope of having a legal immigration system that works. You will send a message that all you have to do is come into this country, stay here long enough and we will let you stay.''

"Ana Navarro, a Rubio donor who has lobbied on immigration in Washington, said his emphasis on enforcement reflects the public's anxiety over border security.

"``Every Republican has moved to the right on immigration,'' she said. ``At some point the political reality hits you in the face.''"

    Rubio supports:

    1. guest worker program

    2. compares them to US citizens

    3. says we can't round up and deport 11 million illegal aliens

    4. says Republican Party is not anti-illegal immigration, it is pro-legal immigration

    4. illegal aliens are "God's children".

This is the Bush, McCain, Palin ... crap that's led to this nightmare in hell Americans are stuck with paying for and losing their jobs and wages to called unenforced untouchable illegal immigration.

The next time a US citizen breaks a law, I'm going to count the minutes, days, weeks, months, years, decades before I hear any politician stand up for them with the defense of "they are God's children".

What do you expect from a hypenated American? While on the topic of illegals they are showing a case on Forensic Files on TruTV right now where an illegal committed a murder in Texas. Guess what he was released from prison in Mexico and he served time for murder. I am sick of these criminal border jumpers.
