    Open the Borders

    Open the Borders

    by Jacob G. Hornberger

Let Them In: The Case for Open Borders, by Jason L. Riley, is one fantastic book on the national immigration debate. Riley’s new book, combined with Phillipe Legrain’s 2007 book Immigrants: Your Country Needs Them, provides the definitive case for open borders as the solution to America’s immigration “crisis.â€

Yes, open the borders to deport the likes of Jason Riley and every other mass immigration supporter.

For example, how logical is the notion that illegal immigrants are risking their lives to come to America in order to walk into a welfare office and fraudulently sign up for welfare, especially given that even legal immigrants are barred from getting on welfare for five years?
What drugs are this writer and the two authors on to be so stupidly transparent. If legal immigrants are barred from welfare for five years, at least they have the paperwork to prove their entry date, ergo their welfare qualification date. Illegals have what verifiable proof they have been here for over five years or five days before they apply? And with the ID mills all over the place, a person might go by Jose Martinez or Vladimir Smirnoff in his own country, but he assumed the identity of Jesus Gonzalez or Georgiy Romanov in this country. Since no one knows who is here, no one, much less an over-worked welfare office, will actually know the identity of these frauds. Of course, they are using some American's social security number.

Indeed, how many immigration raids are currently taking place at welfare agencies? Answer: None. The raids are taking place at private businesses, where American employers have hired people who work hard and who contribute to the prosperity of the business.
He obviously hasn't seen the crowds of illegal alien women surrounded by their anchor babies. Every anchor means more money for the familia. As for the employers? They don't care who they hire as long as they can hire CHEAP. The CHEAP labor contributes to the prosperity of the business owner. WE, the taxpayers, get stuck with the unpaid hospital bills, the unpaid taxes, and more headaches.

Keep smoking that wacky weed boy, and spin me another fairy tale.
