FL:Search for Baby Bryan: Father to be deported
Search for Baby Bryan: Father to be deported, mother believes son will be found

FORT MYERS -- As a mother, she’s already lost a great deal. Now, Maria De Fatima Ramos Dos Santos is bracing to lose more.
The mother of infant Bryan Dos Santos, whose 2006 abduction at knife-point captured national attention, expects her husband to be deported to Brazil soon. Jurandir Gomes Costa, 29, was arrested last year for driving without a license, one week before the birth of his third child, Christopher. Today he’s in an immigration facility in Broward County.
Dos Santos, 26, is appealing to the public, and authorities, to ask that she and her husband be allowed to remain in the country until Bryan is found. If Gomes Costa leaves, she’ll have to leave, too, she said.
“If I leave this country now, it’s like I gave up my son,â€Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote!

How does the mother know the child is in the United States? Maybe he was taken to another country...like Brazil.

I have followed this case from the begining and the word is,they paid for beinging smuggled into this country with their first baby.
That is why the Brazilians shun them.
She was pregnant when they arrived in Ft. Myers. She gave birth at the local hospital and the baby was taken as she was leaving the hospital after a post birth check-up.
Ft Myers Police and the commuinity have spent a lot of money trying to locate the child but the baby seems to have just vanished.
IMO they should have been deported ASAP when they were suspected of trading their baby to pay a smuggling debt.
The deputy who is handling this case is to emotionally invested in this case and it has left him blinded to the truth.
Now they have 2 more Anchors and she is on welfare. This whole mess shoud not have been allowed to linger so long.
They can go home and IF (big if) some news of the baby is found then it can be handled at that time. NO U Visa never ever !!"A Government big enough to give you everything you want,is strong enough to take everything you have"* Thomas Jefferson
