Time for an Immigration Moratorium
Time for an Immigration Moratorium
by Virgil Goode
12/14/2009
When Barack Obama completely ignored the problem of uncontrolled immigration during his Jobs Summit, my former colleague Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Texas) issued the following statement that was signed by 21 conservative Republican congressmen:
“With a 10 percent unemployment rate, now is the time for the Obama administration to stand up for citizens and legal immigrant workers. Now is the time for the President to enforce immigration laws. When the jobs stolen by illegal immigrants are recovered for citizens and legal workers, American workers will benefit. President Obama could create eight million jobs for citizens and legal workers simply by enforcing immigration laws.â€

This is so out of control in my opinion. Where is enough, enough? The numbers are not possible to sustain. And then we keep hearing that there will be a switch and it will be minority/majority, because so many foreigners, especially illegal aliens, flipped the demographics. No assimilation, our culture under assault, millions more out of work, and we are to blame for every other nation's ills.
Legal immigration with respect for our nation and its citizens first is one thing, but out of control legal and illegal immigration is leading to some big problems for us all.
Luke 2:11Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

In 1965 at the inception of his immigration reform policies a vast majority of people fell into the Not Affected category, a minuscule number of people were Indirectly Affected and very few were Directly Affected. Through the course of time the numbers crept up for those Directly and Indirectly Affected while the Not Affected numbers only decreased by a percentage point or two.
By 1986 the numbers of people Directly and Indirectly Affected had grown enough to become vocal and the policies were again addressed to placate those people. The Immigration Problem could have and should have ended then but of course the Non-Enforcement of the 86 IRCA Laws actually made the problem worse.
As the numbers of Directly and Indirectly Affected people began to grow at an accelerated rate they again had to be placated in 1996. Yet again Non-Enforcement made the problem worse.
So here we are today at a point where now almost 80% of the people fall into the category of Directly and Indirectly Affected. The once majority of people Not Affected at all has collapsed to only 20%. Sadly that 20% Directly and Indirectly control almost all of government on every level.
So basically the good people of Massachusetts were placated with empty promises of Enforcement in both the 86 and 96 immigration reform laws. I too bought the promises of 86 and was for that one time only amnesty. It is only in hindsight that We the People now realize that we were fed LIES!
Hopefully it is not to late and we will win this fight against any further LIES. What I fear most is that the 20% controlling our government has rigged the system so much that even our 80% may not be able to overcome them.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
