Forest Service posts signs warning of illegal migrants, smugglers
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
SIERRA VISTA - Coronado National Forest workers have started placing signs warning visitors that smugglers and illegal immigrants may be in the area and to use caution.
The signs are designed to let those unfamiliar with the area know of potential hazards and aren't intended to discourage public visits, said Bill Wilcox, fire manager for the Sierra Vista Ranger District. He said forest managers decided the signs were needed so visitors are more alert.
They will be placed Carr Canyon, Miller Canyon and Montezuma Pass in Cochise County, as well as Parker Lake, Harshaw Canyon and Kino Springs portions of the Sierra Vista Ranger District in Santa Cruz County.
The warning is not detailed, saying simply: "Travel Caution. Smuggling and illegal immigrants may be encountered in this area."
Wilcox said that while most people who live in the area know about potential problems with smugglers and illegal immigrants, tourists and newcomers are not as aware. Residents have reported seeing as many as 100 migrants at a time going across their land, and complained about troubles with trash and debris left behind.Illegal aliens remain exempt from American laws, while they DEMAND American rights...

Why doesn't President Bush allow them on his ranch ? He knows they're good folks, why does he lack compassion ? It would make them feel "very special" if they could only live on the ranch.
If I were them I'd go the whole nine yards and start marching for ranch rights. Si se puede !! Si se puede !!
YES, YOU CAN !! YOU can live on the ranch too !!Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Crazybird, it's worse than that--especially re the smugglers. Someone might be out for a hike and get killed for getting too near the smuggler's stash of drugs. Why is our government not doing something? Putting up signs is NOT doing something!!!! It's telling citizens that the gov't can't protect them so they better watch their own back!!! UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!
