Former Mexican President Blasts Trump’s Immigration Policy

During an interview with FOX Business Network’s Sandra Smith, Vicente Fox, former President of Mexico, weighed in on Donald Trump and his plans to build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico.

“I think he is a false prophet -- that he is very ignorant on [the] economy, very ignorant about trading… Putting bricks, building buildings is not running an economy. I think it’s totally misleading,” he said.

He argued that building walls between countries doesn’t work.

“Walls don’t sustain themselves. All walls have failed. The Chinese wall, the Berlin Wall -- all walls don’t work. Isolating yourself only takes you to failure. So, this nation so great, so big with such great people--the American people cannot isolate itself. It’s [the U.S.] been the leader of the world since the founding fathers… Everybody [in] this nation, starting with its founding fathers has built bridges, has built relationships and that’s what makes this nation so great… Migration is a two-way street.” he said.

Fox also weighed in on trade relations between the U.S. and Mexico.

“The trade balance between Mexico and [the] United States is reaching a trillion [dollars]… we export half from Mexico to [the] United States but we import half of that amount into Mexico buying all kinds of products which means millions of jobs for U.S. citizens. So he [Trump] is absolutely ignorant [with] what trading is, what creating wealth is all about. So he needs some learning about how to run a nation.”

Lies, lies & more lies. Don't see migration being 2 way between the countries unless there are 12million Americans that have snuck into mexico and the females are having a baby every 90 seconds too and on the mexican taxpayers.

A $54 billion trade deficit is not good for the USA when we had no deficit before NAFTA. In the three years prior to Nafta, 1991-1993, the US manufacturing sector alone enjoyed a combined surplus of $19.2 billion with Mexico. The five largest trading partners also run the largest deficits. They are
    1. Canada - $634 billion traded with a $31 billion deficit.
    2. China- $562 billion traded with a $318 billion deficit.
    3. Mexico - $506 billion with a $54 billion deficit.
    4. Japan - $194 billion traded with a $73 billion deficit.
    5. Germany - $161 billion traded with a $67 billion deficit.

Mr Trump was referring to these imbalances in trade that he would change, one way to make America great again - CNN's Farrid Zakaria said he is wrong in saying we are not great now, totaling ignoring the actual point of Trump's words - bad journalism.

So we have known for a long time that Roger (Fat Ass) Ailes has been in the septic tank for the illegal alien invasion since forever. The idea that building a wall to keep out illegal alien invaders will somehow interfere with trade is totally bogus. Goods enter with trucks, railroads, airplanes. None of these have anything to do with a fence to stop individual people from entering illegal in areas where there is no controlled access.

They says the Berlin Wall did not work. Well actually yes it did. The wall was very effective until the East German government came down. Here again, this is ignorance or intentional deceit. I have seen a section of the old Berlin Wall. It is very thin perhaps 4 or 5 inchesthick. A vehicle could easily have crashed through it or a man with a sledge hammer. But it almost totally stopped any attempt by East Berliners to enter West Berlin. Ask any German who lived at that time. It worked because of guards with guns and a country willing to use force against anyone truing to breach their flimsy barrier.

The lesion is clear; it does not take a lot of physical barriers, just the will to seriously control our border. The barriers are there to slow down aliens long enough to get captured and throw their ignorant, dirty, diseased asses back to the dysfunctional hell hole countries they made for themselves.

I was living in Rhine Main AFB when the wall came down. We flew into Tempelhof on our way out. I remember it being about a foot thick as there was portions still standing.
