Four men were arrested Monday and charged in a home invasion and armed robbery that took place last week in Villa Park.

A victim told police that he called for a female escort shortly before the Feb. 12 home invasion. A woman and four men showed up at the apartment on the 700 block of West Roy Drive, where they held three people against their will using a knife and a handgun for four hours while they used credit and ATM cards to obtain money, police said.
Other stolen items include cellphones, a 2000 Dodge Caravan, a flat-screen TV, two guitars and a PlayStation.

Police used video from a gas station to identify a second vehicle used by the suspects. Authorities found that vehicle in Chicago and recovered some of the stolen property.

Arrested were: Jaime L Aguirre, 22, of Highland Park; Frederico Garcia, 26, of Chicago; Darwin Amador-Velasquez, 29, of Chicago; and Sabas G. Torres, 27, of Chicago. All four were chared with home invasion, armed robbery and aggravated kidnapping.

Additionally, Amador-Velasquez was wanted on a warrant for assault and he is previously a deported felon, police said.

Torres was also charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.

The four were taken to the DuPage County jail. The female suspect remains at large.
