FRENCH BALK AT LOSS OF SOVEREIGNTY

The Neo-cons are probably still eating Freedom Fries over France's opposition to our de facto unilateral invasion of Iraq and destabilization of a Middle Eastern nation that posed no national security threat to the US. However, when it comes to the European Union, the French are balking, they want to be France, not the Gallic Region or another euphemism for the nation. They fought a mean and bloody revolution to be free French and for mercy's sake, they want to stay that way, socialist as they are!

Free Americans, through their representatives, aren't getting the opportunity to vote on whether this nation should be losing its sovereignty through wide-open southern borders, the North American Free Trade Agreement and the free trade zone proposal for the Americas. The US' impending loss of its national sovereignty might not strike most Americans as being imminent, but it is. And if we lose even the show of our constitutional government, then what? Well the next president of our region could be a person whose second language is English and who doesn't live here ... an appointed regional governor, viceroy or whatever could occupy the White House.

Americans, with their noted awareness of politics and general interest in the country's future, would then say "DUH?"

The New World Order, Global Governance, or just world oligarchy/tyranny, is making strides but some people are really taking it seriously. Even some Americans are taking it seriously, particularly the internet writers and their readership. We want our nation back, we want our sovereignty intact, we want other sovereign nations to have no fear of us if they don't pose a true and immediate threat to our national security, and we want our Bill of Rights restored.

That means an overhaul in American governmental leadership very soon.

The one thing that escaped the vision of the Founding Fathers was the notion that representatives could/would ignore the will of the people, and that the people would let them, barely knowing what their reps were doing for the outrageous perks and stipends they receive. That such should be allowed to continue in office via political machinery while the people went about in blind trust or open-eyed anger and frustration, was inconceivable. This nation's freedom was bought at a high price, not quite as high as that paid by the nation for the Union to destroy the South under a false guise of abolitionist ethic, and it has been maintained through all manner of treachery and undermining, until lately.

The government has finally come out of the closet and been found to have a decided tyrannical bent.

God-given freedom is not the issue, God is not part of most politicians' vocabulary except in campaign speeches. In everyday life, He is relegated to the category of mythology even when the pols go to church for the sake of appearance. When a man takes a stand and substantiates his right to display the Ten Commandments in public, or challenges the media-birthed misrepresentation of "wall of separation between church and state" that isn't in the Constitution, he gets a demotion and is then relieved of his office. He is persecuted even after he has left office.

And the sheeple find a reason to misquote the Bible and say "obey the higher powers" or some quote from Romans 13. They forget the great statement of the Apostles shortly after Pentecost that "we ought to obey God and not man." Well, which is it? It is both, when one understands the context of each. No power excels that of God, and when the government issues orders against the written word of God, then God's word takes precedence over all.

Likewise, the Constitution is avowed to be the law of the land, but the activist judiciary ignores it at will when it conflicts with their political agenda. Most of the time these judges cannot be voted out of office, they have to be impeached and convicted (which would be easy to do in a nation where the people took their freedoms seriously rather than taking them for granted while losing them daily).

Now I have no stake in France, the French agenda or any connections with France. But it cannot help but strike an observer of times, trends and events as bizarre when the French will defend their national sovereignty while Americans tolerate representatives and a presidential cadre that is doing all in its power to blend the United States of America into a region of an American Sector of the Western Hemisphere. A lot of Americans see nothing political in this, they believe media hype that it's all about free trade. It makes one mull over the idea that the nation has grown too dumb to have free people. We've already come to the point that when groups rally to oppose what's going on, they are labeled as vigilantes, radicals, and other epithets that are absurd on their surface.

Not enough folks who care are ready to take action. We're very comfortable for the most part, and disturbing comfort for the sake of principle is now considered foolish rather than heroic. My ears would burn at what the late General George S. Patton might say to these things. He spoke to warn against the Russians and Communism. Then he was dead.

It's just embarrassing that the French can vote on what happens to their nation and its participation in a "union" that will obliterate nationality in favor of some non-Christian, even anti-Christian organization, while the Americans who won't eat French fries or buy French champagne have no vote and apparently have lost their voices of objection.

If the US weren't a federal republic, we would doubtless have a referendum. Apparently one is needed now, even though we are still structurally and legally a federal republic. If we are going to act like a democracy and call ourselves a democracy, then we need the same referendum that a democracy has in order to override the rogue acts of rogue representatives and elected/appointed acts of the occupants of the White House.

However, getting a national referendum in place at this time in our nation's history would be like pulling live dinosaur teeth, it isn't going to happen peacefully. Nothing now can happen peacefully other than the surrender of the patriots.

Hopefully, the patriots will never surrender to the evils the leadership of this nation has brought upon our land.

Dorothy Anne Seese has been working since she was three and a half years old, but not as a journalist.

Her career began as a child actress in the 1939-1942 "Five Little Peppers" film series produced by Columbia that mercifully ended with the nation's involvement in World War II, although she did do small parts in a few films until 1953. By that time, she was a student at U.C.L.A. where she received her liberal arts degree in Political Science.
